Lyra is a Cork, Ireland-based artist whose polished ambient pop song “Rabbit In The Headlights” created quite a stir when it was released earlier this year, with an aesthetic recalling Kate Bush, Enya, FKA Twigs and Swedish pop.

We feature it here, along with Lyra’s newer release, “Emerald.” Both songs showcase the artist’s embrace of her Irish accent (a topic which is also the subject of her first single). She’s also clearly embraced a kind of 80s anthemic pop sound—”yuge” drums, bombastic choruses, and rich harmonies. Production comes  from Rupert Christie (Kate Bush, Coldplay, Aurora, Say Lou Lou).
